Best Oils To Avoid Stretch Marks During Pregnancy

Avoiding stretch marks during pregnancy has started to become an uphill battle for me because of my extreme dry skin. Everything I’ve tried seems to absorb really quickly into my skin and leaves me dry again.

I turned to our awesome Instagram followers for some help and I have definitely got some good feedback for all skin types to share with you guys.

Bio Oil– All Around great product to use to avoid stretch marks. If you have dry skin, it helps to use this with another oil because it does absorb quickly. If you have oily skin, this is the perfect product for your belly while pregnant.

Mama Mio Tummy Rub Oil– Good for oily skin, but absorbs too quickly if you have dry skin. Good when paired with the Bio Oil.

Coconut Oil– Great for dry skin, but leaves you a little too greasy, so try to use it at nighttime before bed. If used in the AM, use with caution because the oil can stain your clothes.

Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil– This product is exactly what I needed when looking for an oil for stretch marks. I have been using this in the daytime because  it smells amazing and it doesn’t ruin your clothes, but it keeps your skin feeling soft and moisturized throughout the day. I’ve been using it during the day and using other oils at night because it’s on the pricier side.  Definitely recommend it if you have dry skin.

Mother’s Special Blend– A lot of people recommended this to me when I asked for help. It’s amazing because it’s a natural product, which is super important because you don’t want to put chemicals on your skin, especially on your belly while pregnant. It’s made from coconut oil, sweet almond oil, cocoa butter and Vitamin E. Another plus? It’s affordable! It retails for about $15.00. I’ve been lathering my belly in this at night before bed and it seems to be doing the trick. It’s great for dry skin.
